The new version of LotPro offers a hi-fidelity end-user experience by taking full advantage of all that the Microsoft® Windows® platform has to offer. Unlike "browser-based" applications the LotPro client application lives on your PC or laptop.

The new LotPro can be used whether you are online or offline.
When online, the LotPro client application provides an even richer experience. One key aspect of the new LotPro is it works exceptionally well, connected or not.

LotPro client applications are able to readily connect to and exchange data with LotPro server systems across the enterprise or the Internet. Web services allow our solution to utilize industry standard protocols such as XML, HTTP and SOAP to exchange information with any type of remote system.

Our architecture readily leverages ways to synchronize and exchange information between LotPro clients, LotPro servers and Dealership Data Management Systems such as ADP and Reynolds and many more.

LotPro takes advantage of local caching and processing to enable operation during periods of no network connectivity or intermittent network connectivity. This functionality is extremely valuable in this new era of mobile information workers especially given the cost, latency and speed of mobile connections.

Improved Reliability in heterogeneous network environments. LotPro can store data locally and use the network in a smart way to provide functionality and reliable operation even when network is unavailable. This capability is especially important when the user is mobile and needs to be productive.

Increased performance and scalability. LotPro uses the capabilities of the local operating system and power of the local CPU for calculations. Having a dedicated CPU is important for achieving good performance.

Furthermore, using the capability to run local code off loads many task that are done by servers in a typical web application delivery.

Develop new features and service releases faster.
Developers of all backgrounds are finding that applications developed using the smart client architecture are easier to write. The development does not need to consider things like session management and server round trips. The intuitiveness of the programming model and the richness of the code already provided in the class libraries, enable our developers to reap huge productivity gains.

Ease of Deployment and Security.
With No-Touch Deployment, LotPro client applications can be deployed and updated on target PCs simply by copying the necessary components to a Web server that can be accessed by the end users. Furthermore, using code access security can result in better control of the LotPro code executed on the client machine resulting with the proper experience to be delivered to the appropriate users.

Mobility Support and Data Synchronization Capabilities.
LotPro client applications can be delivered on various mobile platforms (PCs, Laptops) sharing a unified programming model. Furthermore, since network is not a reliable resource for mobile applications, we have added data synchronization features into the application to ensure smooth operation.

Better User Experience and User Interface.
LotPro uses the functionality of the underlying operating system to provide a rich, responsive, and intuitive user experience that is not depended on server roundtrips or browser rendering capabilities.

Familiar Security Model.
We have implemented role based access control (also called role based security), as introduced in 1992 by Ferraiolo and Kuhn, has become the predominant model for advanced access control because it reduces the complexity and cost of security administration in large networked applications. Most information technology vendors have incorporated RBAC into their product line, and the technology is finding applications in areas ranging from health care to defense, in addition to the mainstream commerce systems for which it was designed.
